Buckeye Partners Inc., Senior Acquisition Agent (Salem Land)                 3/14 - 12/14

Provide all site acquisition support for the abandonment of the Buckeye owned NORCO Pipeline across the State of Illinois.  Secure rights and permission from various Railroads, the Illinois Dept. of Transportation, the Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources, local jurisdictions and landowners to perform work at railroad and road crossings, and from private landowners for work that was required to complete the idling and abandonment of the NORCO 8" pipeline.  Negotiate crop damages as required.  The pipeline runs from Lake County, Indiana to Hancock County, Illinois on the Mississippi River.

 

Enbridge Energy LLC, Senior Acquisition Agent (Salem Land)3/13 - 11/13

Investigated land purchase opportunities for various terminal locations in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.  Contacted landowners to determine interest in the sale of their land.  Reported to Enbridge personnel the results of investigations.  Also worked on the Major Line Enhancement for Lines 61 and 67 in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.  Coordinated with three agents in their purchase of several sites.  Worked with surveyors and engineers as the sites near the closing portion of the transaction.  Worked with jurisdictions to determine zoning and permitting requirements and disseminate the information to the Enbridge management and legal teams. 

 

Plains Pipeline, LLC., Senior Acquisition Agent (Percheron )8/11 - 11/12

Acquire long term leases for a pipeline in the Eagle Ford Shale crude oil deposit. Contact landowners for proposed location of pipeline and negotiate terms and conditions of leases. Determine payment of damages. Coordinate with environmental, geological testing teams, and landowners for ingress and egress for efficient and expedient testing procedures. Coordinate with local jurisdictions as required.

 

NuStar Energy, Title Agent (Percheron)

Thirty year title review in Frio, McMullen, Live Oak and LaSalle Counties, Texas. Research ownership of various properties of an existing pipeline.

 

BP Pipelines/BP Products, Right-of-Way Agent (Salem Land)7/08 - 8/11

Provide site acquisition support for various pipeline repair and clearing projects in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois. Determine and obtain permits as needed from jurisdictions, contact landowners, and coordinate with construction for efficient completion of repairs. Estimate crop damages. Work on third party projects, including the review and negotiation of proposed development plans from various entities including: Department of Transportations, Townships, Cities, Counties, Commercial Developers, Homeowners, Railroads and other various entities. Review pipeline alignment sheets, easements, permits, licenses and other land documents to determine BP’s rights and impacts of encroachments to those rights, review easements, permits, leases and licenses for property rights, legal descriptions, and ownership and identified deficiencies requiring curative action to resolve the deficiencies, negotiate with land owners, highway departments and other entities and agencies to obtain, maintain or modify BP easements, licenses, permits and other site agreements, drafted, updated, negotiated and executed real estate agreements: Subordinations, Releases, Agreement and Partial Releases, Permitted Facilities, Reimbursements, Foreign Line Crossings, Permits.

T-Mobile UMTS upgrade project, Austin, Texas – Manage all aspects of T- Mobile’s upgrade of their  network with the UMTS equipment.  Oversee site acquisition company’s progress in securing rights for equipment installation. In short, to acquire new sites a location is determined, negotiate and sign agreement with landord, and all zoning requirements and permits, variances, and conditional use permits are secured.
